Luke 5:16

Free Book* by Brian Tome

*not that kind of free.

Brian Tome writes a wonderfully assertive book about the freedom found in surrendering ourselves to the will of God.  Tome, in his humorous and somewhat sarcastic tone, spells out a plan for all of us to experience the true freedom that is only found by making ourselves “slaves” to the intentions that God has for us.  Sounds oxymoronic, doesn’t it?

This book is for anyone who is struggling to overcome the everyday stumbling blocks to living your life to the fullest potential that God has placed within each of us.  Freedom starts when we choose to give up on our own personal agendas, remove the squatters of doubt, sin, and incompetence, and rely wholly on the strength and direction of the Holy Spirit.

One of my favorite portion of this book was the discussion of the spiritual realm that is seemingly subtle, but ever present in our human experience.  Spiritual warfare is very much real and we must be aware that the spirits around us are working on behalf of the Devil to “steal, kill, and destroy” whatever semblance of freedom we have left, but when we submit to the kingship of Jesus Christ, his spiritual forces fight on our behalf and rebuke the demons of temptation and sin.

Join Tome as he lays his life bare, in many ways, to get the point across that only through submission can we find freedom.
